AnginaControl is a mobile application designed to assist patients experiencing angina symptoms by providing a systematic way to monitor and record their attacks. As angina is commonly associated with coronary heart disease (CHD), effective tracking can offer valuable insights into symptom patterns.

Angina typically manifests as a chest discomfort characterized by a squeezing or pressure sensation. Patients may also experience this discomfort in the shoulders, arms, neck, jaw, or back. The episodes usually last between 2 and 10 minutes and are alleviated by rest or the administration of nitroglycerin.

The application features an intuitive interface that enables users to log each angina episode, including details such as whether the attack occurred at rest or during physical effort, and whether nitroglycerin was necessary for relief. This functionality facilitates better self-monitoring and understanding of symptom triggers.

Additionally, AnginaControl provides a reporting module that assists healthcare providers in assessing the progression of their patients' condition over time. The data can be visualized in graphical formats segmented weekly, monthly, or yearly, illustrating:

• The daily count of angina attacks in weekly reports and the weekly count in monthly or annual summaries
• The circumstances surrounding each episode: at rest or during exertion
• Nitroglycerin consumption patterns on different time scales

While AnginaControl offers valuable insights into symptom frequency and potential patterns, it is important to emphasize that this application does not substitute professional medical consultation.
